The Kramer School of Nursing is excited to offer a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) option to transition to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Qualified students can complete this track in as little as 12 months. Many nursing associations encourage nurses to earn a BSN allowing for advancement in the workplace and potentially higher income.

A student meeting all of the requirements as found on the admissions policy, plus provides proof of bachelor’s or associate’s degree (plus religion course) from an accredited institution may be eligible to proceed with the below LPN-BSN tracks.
If a student has some or no general education and elective requirements, then they can meet with a nursing advisor and create a plan to fulfill these courses, all except six hours which can carry over into the program, to be eligible to start the NURS level courses.
If no degree is provided, then student must completed the required general education, general electives and science prerequisites prior to starting NURS level courses. Nursing advisors can work with student to create a plan of progression.

Students will need to connect with an administrator with Kramer School of Nursing to determine eligibility and individual timelines.
*Any applicant with an associate degree must have completed either a nutrition course OR a religion course with a grade of C (2.00) or better. The course must be evaluated and confirmed transfer through Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s TESS system prior to starting the program.
A full semester of Human Anatomy with a lab and a full semester of Human Physiology may be substituted for Anatomy and Physiology I (A&P I) and Anatomy and Physiology II (A & P II). This option requires both courses, not just one course.
For students whose first bachelor’s degree was earned outside the United States, English must have been the language of instruction. The first bachelor’s degree must also be equivalent to a bachelor’s degree grated by a regionally accredited U.S. college or university. Course prerequisites to the accelerated BSN program taken internationally must be equivalent to the corresponding courses offered at Â鶹´«Ã½ City University. These equivalencies must be determined by a company acceptable to Â鶹´«Ã½ City University that evaluates international transcripts.
LPNs who did not graduate from a nationally accredited program are required to take the NLN Nursing Acceleration Challenge exams.
A minimum score of 70 on each National League of Nursing (NLN) Nursing Acceleration Challenge exam taken to qualify for course credit. The Foundations of Nursing Acceleration Challenge exam must be passed to continue the L.P.N.-B.S.N. pathway. Students failing a Nursing Acceleration Challenge exam must take the Kramer School of Nursing course on that topic. Maximum of two attempts on the challenge exam. NLN Nursing Acceleration Challenge exam must be taken within two years to receive credit for the course. Up to 13 credit hours may be received toward the degree for successful completion of NLN Nursing Acceleration Challenge exam.
