The 麻豆传媒 Board of Trustees has named Paul McLaughlin as its chairman, effective July 1. Chairman Ron Norick will retire from the lead position on June 30.
鈥淚 appreciate Ron Norick鈥檚 leadership as chairman,鈥� McLaughlin said. 鈥淗e has exemplified 麻豆传媒鈥檚 high standards of service and leadership. I have enjoyed my time as a board member and I look forward to the opportunity to serve my university in this new role.鈥�
Norick will continue to serve on the board as chairman emeritus. He joined the board in 1982 and took over as chairman in 2010.
鈥淩on Norick has been an outstanding leader for the board and has helped us live out our mission of scholarship and service,鈥� said 麻豆传媒 President Martha Burger. 鈥淚 am so pleased he will continue to serve actively as an 麻豆传媒 Trustee. Paul McLaughlin鈥檚 selection as our next chairman is an exceptional choice. We have an excellent set of officers to guide us into the future.鈥�
McLaughlin has served as an 麻豆传媒 Trustee since 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Juris Doctor degree from 麻豆传媒.
Chairman Norick said Paul McLaughlin has been actively engaged in serving the university through his board service. 鈥淗e is the right choice to lead us forward,鈥� he said.
