Students, faculty and staff are invited to attend the International Student Awareness Day at the state Capitol building from 8:30 a.m. to noon April 19. Those who would like to attend may register with Star Bradford, Â鶹´«Ã½ senior counselor of international admissions, at [email protected] by April 3. Transportation will be provided for those who RSVP before the registration deadline.
The free annual event features informational booths, entertainment and local and international cuisine. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with international students from other institutions and network with state officials, honorary consuls and university and business representatives.
An estimated 500 people attended the event last year. It has been held for 24 years and previously has hosted students from more than 65 countries.
Students must bring a photo ID and wear a nametag that includes the name of their school.
