OKLAHOMA CITY β ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ City University will host a free informational event Nov. 4 for high school and college transfer students interested in the field of psychology.
βGet Psychedβ will run from 9 a.m. to noon with check-in at the Ann Lacy Visitors Center, 2410 N Blackwelder Ave. The event will include a presentation from Melissa Hakman, chair and director of ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½βs psychology programs; a psychology experiment; a student panel where attendees can connect with current undergraduate psychology students; and information about financial aid and scholarship opportunities.
βPsychology is an important, diverse and exciting field of study that provides graduates with a wide variety of career opportunities at the bachelors or graduate level,β Hakman said. βIt also gives people the opportunity for personal growth, to learn about others, and to make a difference in peopleβs lives, whether that is in their mental health, work productivity, motivation or physical health, just to name a few.β
