recipients are recognized as leaders in their communities for going above and beyond to make health and wellness a priority.
The program began in 2003 as a collaboration of the Â鶹´«Ã½ Turning Point Council, the Â鶹´«Ã½ Academy for State Goals, the Â鶹´«Ã½ State Chamber, and the Â鶹´«Ã½ State Department of Health. The certification showcases businesses, campuses, communities, congregations, early childhood programs, restaurants, and schools that are committed to supporting healthy choices through environmental and policy change. The recipients are recognized for working to improve the health of Â鶹´«Ã½ns by implementing elements, policies, and programs that will help Â鶹´«Ã½ns eat better, move more, and be tobacco free.
