Mid-America Christian University has partnered with ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ City University to provide MACU students with an avenue to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½βs Kramer School of Nursing.
The articulation agreement between the two universities will allow students to complete their general education and major science courses at MACU and then seamlessly transfer to ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ to enter the nursing program.
βHealthcare services continues to be an expanding profession, nursing especially,β said David Rose, assistant vice president of enrollment at MACU. βSpecifically as we look to the post-COVID environment, there will be a continued increasing demand for registered nurses.β
Nursing has been one of the most frequently requested majors from prospective MACU students. To meet that need, Rose said senior leadership set out to develop the articulation agreement with ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ and was met with an overwhelmingly positive response.
βEnrolled students will fulfill their general education requirements, electives and science courses at MACU, then will matriculate to ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ to finish their final 56 hours of nursing courses at ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½.β
The articulation agreement is effective immediately, meaning that students who have fulfilled their course requirements at MACU may begin the process to transfer to ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ for their nursing degree.
"Kramer School of Nursing is thrilled to enter into this partnership with MACU to provide baccalaureate nursing education of the highest quality to prepare the next generation of nurses and servant leaders,β said Lois Salmeron, dean of the Kramer School of Nursing.
