Bass School of Music professors have created a new string orchestra called the ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra and will have an inaugural performance at 2 p.m. Feb. 12 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Tomasz Zieba β instructor of cello and chamber music β together with ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ violin instructor Sophia Ro and viola instructor Donna Cain, created the professional string orchestra. The ensemble consists of some of the music schoolβs most talented string students, faculty and alumni.
The inaugural performance will feature J.S. Bachβs Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 and Antonio Vivaldi's βThe Four Seasons.β
βThe Four Seasonsβ violin soloists will feature Ro and ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ alumni Angelica Pereira and Elizabeth Venegas.
