ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ City Universityβs regional premier of the American opera βDark Sistersβ won first place in the 2017-2018 National Opera Association Production Competition. This latest honor brings the Bass School of Musicβs total National Association awards to six in the past five years.
The Nico Muhly opera, presented in the Kirkpatrick Auditorium Feb. 17-19, 2017, was directed by David Herendeen, head of OKCUβs ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ Opera and Music Theatre Company, with Matthew Mailman as musical director.
