Artist Morgan Robinson will be spending a year in residence at ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ City University and will offer several interactive public presentations at ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½β€™s Norick Art Center.

Robinson’s four-part series, titled β€œBlurring the Lines of Possibilities,” kicks off from 5 to 8 p.m. Sept. 13 at the center, located at N.W. 26th Street and Blackwelder Avenue. The free presentation begins with a talk by Robinson and continues on to a studio art experience. Pizza will be served. Limited space is available.

Robinson said the presentation will focus on distortion and β€œthe kaleidoscope effect that you get by distorting the world around you.”

The series will continue from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 11, Jan. 17 and March 21.

Also during the year, Robinson will build and install artwork around the campus and teach a course in sculpture.

Originally from Stillwater, Robinson has exhibited his art in ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½, Colorado and Japan. He has worked as a professional artist for nine years and works primarily with wood and metal. He holds a BFA in sculpture from the University of Central ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½. For more information, or to register for the Sept. 13 presentation, contact ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ School of Visual Arts Director Heather Lunsford at [email protected].
