Dr. Marc DiPaolo, Associate Professor of English, Moving Image Arts, and Honors, helped write the grant application that enabled the Childrenβs Museum of Indianapolis to win a $40,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. This grant will help to develop a rotating series of exhibits exploring the significance of popular culture artifacts. This summer, DiPaolo will join a team of cultural studies scholars in providing a βstrong humanities thematic frameworkβ for the new exhibits as they are developed. The museum leadership recruited DiPaolo to this project after reading his book, βWar, Politics, and Superheroesβ (CHOICE Magazine Outstanding Academic Title 2011).
