ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ SERVES | COMMUNITY BLESSING BOXΒ

ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ City University is thriving in the spirit of serving our neighbors! Students, faculty, and staff continue to lean into their commitment to servant leadership with various organizations serving each week. ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ is proud to share a new volunteer initiative through a community Blessing Box. The Blessing Box has been placed near the campus police station along 23rd Street to emphasize the campus' dedication to serving our neighbors.

This new volunteer opportunity was made possible by Garrett Grantz, a Sophomore studying Political Science and Philosophy, and Delta Alpha Chi, ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½'s Christian Men's Brotherhood.

The campus community is encouraged to bring any donations for the Blessing Box to the Religious Life office in the lower level of the chapel. Please contact KC Curry, the Assistant Director of Religious Life, at with any questions or would like to partner in this missional ministry.

Let us continue to be the light for those in the OKC community and beyond!

STAR STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: KING DAVID

My name is King David Ogbonnaya. I am from Nigeria (Giant of Africa).

I am cheerful, broad-minded, straightforward, and positive. Fashion trends and innovation have always been the source of my continuous improvement. Religious studies is my major while Chinese is my minor.

My experience at ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ City University has been wonderful, starting from the school lectures they are so friendly and kind to international students and the quality and content of their lectures are top-notch. The school environment is conducive for learning and there are a lot of research facilities for both domestic and international student, it's really a good place to obtain a degree.

Arriving at ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ getting to know the Wesley center was so beneficial to my Christian life. it's a community that helps you reconnect.

ck to God. Joining the Wesley Center has helped me in my prayer life ,retracing my footsteps back to Christ, giving me an assurance that my heavenly father sees me and always listens to me when I am in need.

The Wesley Center has helped me to reciprocate God's love to mankind and community.

LYDIA PATTERSON INSTITUTE CAMPUS VISIT

Students, staff, and faculty from Lydia Patterson Institute traveled to ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ in September and we were lucky enough to be able to spend an evening with them. They came to the Bishop W. Angie Smith Chapel for dinner, information, and games with our Religious Life and Wesley Center staff and a few current students.

ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½'s current Lydia Patterson Woodworth Scholars shared with the students about their ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ experience so far and their involvement in The Wesley Center. Our Religious Life interns shared about the importance of campus ministry, we shared dinner and laughter, and played lots of games! The following day they were given a campus tour, ate lunch in the cafeteria, and had an opportunity for Q&A. We are grateful to ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ Volunteers in Mission for extending this opportunity for partnership with them.
