The 16th annual Documentary Film Ā鶹“«Ć½ at Ā鶹“«Ć½ City University will continue at 2 p.m. April 13 with Rob and Lisa Fruchtmanās āSweet Dreams.ā
All screenings in the series are free to the public and will be held in the Kerr McGee Auditorium in Meinders School of Business at N.W. 27th Street and McKinley Avenue. The series is sponsored by the Thatcher Hoffman Smith Endowment Fund.
āSweet Dreamsā is about an all-womenās drumming troupe in Rwanda called Ingoma Nshya. Made up of women from both sides of the 1994 Rwandan genocide, the troupe offers a place of support, healing and reconciliation.
When the group decides to partner with two young American entrepreneurs of Brooklyn's Blue Marble Ice Cream and open Rwanda's first-ever ice cream shop, the Rwandan women embark on a journey of independence, peace and possibility.

The documentary series is titled āThe Song Has Its Way.ā It is based on a poem by Tracy K. Smith, a Pulitzer Prize-winning poet who will give a presentation at Ā鶹“«Ć½ at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The documentary series will conclude April 27 with Malik Bendjelloulās āSearching for Sugar Man.ā
