Arrival Procedures
International Admissions and Residence Life welcome you to Â鶹´«Ã½! We are so happy you are joining the university family, and we look forward to your arrival. This information below is intended to assist you with your travel to Â鶹´«Ã½ City University.
Now that you are admitted to Â鶹´«Ã½ City University, it's time to prepare for your arrival on campus! Here is a checklist to help you get started!
- Log in to BlueLink and set up your student email account: You should have received your ID and password as well as your Â鶹´«Ã½ Email and password by email shortly after you were admitted. If you did not, please contact your admission counselor! is where you will find important information about your enrollment, financial aid, announcements, and more. Your Â鶹´«Ã½ email is how we will notify you of important information that you need to know. Both should be used regularly! If you have problems logging in to BlueLink or Email, contact Campus Technology at 405-208-5555
- Apply for University Housing: Students who are over the age of 21 have the option to find off-campus housing. Students are strongly encouraged to make housing arrangements prior to arriving in Â鶹´«Ã½ City. Students who would like to live on campus should complete housing applications for the Â鶹´«Ã½ dormitories or Cokesbury Court Apartments. See more details below.
- Prepare to submit your final official documents: If you have completed coursework since you submitted your application, please have your previous school send your final official transcript to Â鶹´«Ã½. Original documents are required at the time of enrollment, so please be sure to bring original transcripts, diplomas, and financial documents with you when you travel to Â鶹´«Ã½. Official test scores must also be submitted (TOEFL, PTE, GRE, etc.). Â鶹´«Ã½'s school code is 6543.
- Immunizations: Â鶹´«Ã½ law requires all students to be vaccinated against Hepatitis B and MMR. Proof of vaccination is required at the time of enrollment. Review immunization requirements and prepare your documentation prior to your arrival in Â鶹´«Ã½ City.
- Review the Campus Health Insurance Policy or apply for a Health Insurance Waiver: Â鶹´«Ã½ requires all students to maintain health insurance coverage. You will automatically be enrolled in the Â鶹´«Ã½ Student Health Insurance Plan when you enroll for Â鶹´«Ã½ and it is automatically billed to your student account each semester. You should carefully review information about the Student Health Insurance Plan before your arrival. If you already have health insurance coverage that meets the insurance requirements, you can request a waiver by sending your insurance policy details to Kelley Hinkle: [email protected]
- Book your flight: Â鶹´«Ã½ City University is located only 10 miles from the Will Rogers World Airport (OKC).
- Request an Airport Pickup / Notify your counselor that your visa is approved: We can help! Let us know you are coming!
We have prepared some information to help you with the process of applying for your visa as well as other immigration basics that we encourage you to review before you arrive in the U.S.

Airport Shuttle service from the airport is available for our students through Airport Express. There is a charge for this service that you will be responsible for. You will need to pay by cash or credit card to the driver. The cost of the service for transportation to Â鶹´«Ã½:
- $25.00 for 1 passenger
- $3.00 for each additional passenger. Please carry the Arrival Information form with you at all times until you arrive on campus at Â鶹´«Ã½. Once you arrive at Will Rogers Airport in OKC, proceed to baggage claim to retrieve your baggage. Head out the doors outside baggage claim and cross the street to the shuttle pickup lane where you will be picked up. The Airport Express Shuttle is a blue van with yellow lettering. Students are strongly encouraged to make housing arrangements prior to arriving in Â鶹´«Ã½ City. Students who would like to live on campus should complete housing applications for the Â鶹´«Ã½ dormitories or Cokesbury Court Apartments. - On-campus housing is limited! You are encouraged to submit housing applications as far in advance as possible. The earlier you make your application for on-campus housing, the better your chances are of securing a room on campus.
- Click here for the Â鶹´«Ã½ Housing Portal to begin your housing application. A $250 housing processing fee is required to guarantee your housing assignment.

Â鶹´«Ã½ City University does not have temporary housing available on campus. You will need to make hotel accommodations if:
- You have not yet made living arrangements.
- You are not able to move into your off-campus residence due to late or weekend arrival.
- You arrive on campus after hours and are not able to move into on-campus housing.

Stars Week or New Student Orientation is the place to be the week before Â鶹´«Ã½ begin.
New International Student Orientation is mandatory for all new international students including J1 exchange students. The dates of orientation are listed in your acceptance letter, and you will be notified through email about the time and location. Many departments also hold orientation events prior to the start of Â鶹´«Ã½. Please be sure to check your email and to review the Stars Week Schedule for other events you may be required to attend.
