Teacher Development Academy

This fall, the Teacher Development Academy at Â鶹´«Ã½ (TDA@Â鶹´«Ã½) will assist teachers in earning the Reaching and Teaching All Learners micro credential and graduate certificate. Through a special GEER-funded grant from the Â鶹´«Ã½ Regents for Higher Education, the following courses can be taken at no cost to emergency and alternative certified teachers—that’s right, for FREE! There will be no costs to teachers who enroll in AND COMPLETE this 9-hour certificate program this fall. Each of these courses will count toward OSDE certification coursework requirements.

GRED 5113 Teaching Diverse Learners
GRED 6323 Teaching Methods Across the Curriculum (Pedagogy)
GRED 6523 Classroom Management and Collaboration

The Fall Cohort will meet Wednesday evenings, 5:00-10:00 PM, beginning August 21 through December 18th AND over three fast-track weekends: September 13-15, October 25-27, and November 15-17. The fast-track class will meet Fridays from 5-9 PM, Saturdays from 8 AM-4 PM, and Sundays from 12-3 PM. There is no virtual option. Attendance is required at all Â鶹´«Ã½ and course grades are impacted by absences. At the end of the fall semester, teachers will earn both the micro credential and 9 graduate hours of credit.

The location of the Â鶹´«Ã½ will be based on enrollment. We plan to offer the Â鶹´«Ã½ in multiple locations throughout the OKC metro and will notify you of the location options no later than Wednesday, August 14th.
